Mieles Anta: from Galicia to the world
David Corral’s beekeeping project began in Toca, Samos, in 1981, when he started professionally with 150 hives. Mieles Anta brings together beekeeping tradition and technology in Galicia.
The producer presentation connects its beekeeping with high-mountain environments, Galician biodiversity and the Iberian black bee. On its official website, Mieles Anta describes its honey as raw, without heat treatment or filtration, and says it controls production and traceability. Its catalogue includes honey and pollen under Mel da Anta, Pazo de Lusio as its own organic production, and TOCA Honey as an organic line; references, pack sizes and export documentation are confirmed for each product. The presentation lists CRAEGA, EU organic production, USDA Organic and IFS Food among its certifications; validity and scope are checked against each reference’s documentation.
